TREASURE ISLAND

HELLO PIRATES!! As you know, today we've watched a theatre play in Vícar. The play was about pirates and the title was "TREASURE ISLAND".
We've enjoyed a lot because we've sung and danced. One of the songs was "Yellow Bird", Do you know the lyric? Read it here:

YELLOW BIRD

Yellow bird
Up high in banana tree
Yellow bird
You sit all alone like me
Did your lady friend
leave the nest again?
That is very sad
Make me feel so bad
You can fly away
In the sky away
You more happy than me

The author of this play is Robert Louis Stevenson. He was one of the best Scottish writers. He was not strong either as a child or as an adult. Stevenson was often ill. He wrote very famous books as The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde or Treasure Island, among others. Stevenson married an American woman, Fanny, when he was thirty. She was great help to him when he was working. He often read his work to her and asked her what she thought.
After many years of travelling through France, Britain, the USA and the Pacific, Stevenson and his wife bought a house and land in Samoa, a group of islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. He died there at the age of forty- four.

You can watch a video about our trip this morning. Listen to the songs carefully, do you remember these songs?

Lots of kisses for my "Little Pirates". Muackss.
